Americas Weekend Guide – Aviva Premiership Week 14

A full round of English premiership rugby will be played this weekend. Despite the Six Nations being played the Aviva Premiership roles on. The Americas weekend guide for week 14 details the involvement of players from the Americas.

In an usual round, three matches are being played on Friday. One of these sees Bristol at home to the Harlequins. Impressive form from Bristol has seen the club pressing Worcester to avoid relegation. Gaston Cortes and Thretton Palamo will both be involved this weekend. Cortes starts at Tight Head and Palamo will cover from the bench.

The northern battle will see Americas players involved. Sale Sharks have home advantage against the Newcastle Falcons. They welcome back AJ MacGinty from international duty. He will play fly half. Canadian Evan Olmstead will play for the Falcons from the bench. Starting will be former Pumas Belisario Agulla and Juan Pablo Socino.

A traditional battle of the titles will be a mid-table fixture on Saturday. The Leicester Tigers host Gloucester in a fixture which both sides need to win. Marcos Ayerza remains injured for the Tigers. His Rugby World Cup 2011 and 2015 teammate, Mariano Galarza will play from the bench doer Gloucester.

Also on Saturday the relegated threatened Worcester Warriors host leaders Saracens. The visitors have opted to rotate regular starters. This is even the case despite players missing to international duty. Titi Lamositele, Juan Figallo and Marcelo Bosch are all to feature from the bench.
