Zack Test recovering from Head Surgery

US Eagles winger Zack Test is on the mend after requiring emergency surgery on a head injury suffered in the match against Uruguay on the weekend. The 27-year-old came off in the 39th minute of the Americas Rugby Championship fixture in San Antonio after taking a knock to the head, his second of the first half. He was visibly unsteady while taken from the field and then stretchered off from the sidelines.

Test was due to be available for the Eagles for the duration of the ARC before re-joining the HSBC Sevens Series. While the specifics of his injury have not been released he is described as being in stable condition and is under observation at San Antonio Military Medical Center. Lindenwood University’s Deion Mikesell has been called into the squad as a replacement.
