Brazil name travel squad for USA match

Brazil have named their traveling squad of 26 players to prepare for their second round match of the Americas Rugby Championship against the US Eagles on Saturday at Dell Diamond. Four players have been called in who did not take part in the historic win over Chile in São Paulo.

Heavyweight props Pedro Bengaló and Caíque Silva join the team from the Desterro and Niterói clubs respectively. The uncapped Bengaló can also play in the second row but has been selected as a prop for this trip. Spring-heeled flanker Cléber Dias is recalled having played a leading role in 2016 while lanky 20-year-old winger Robert Tenório is also added.

Left home to make room are props Vitor Ancina and Matheus Rocha, second row Felipe Tissot, and flanker Matheus Daniel. France-based lock Luiz Vieira appears set to return to the match day squad after missing out against the Cóndores, but there is still no room for injured scrumhalf Lucas Duque.
