Argentine Official Named on Super Rugby Panel

An Argentine official has been named on the Super Rugby panel. Federico Anselmi will have a second opportunity to referee matches in the Southern Hemisphere’s elite competition.

Anselmi is the one Argentine referee appointed to the panel. He joined seven New Zealanders, six South Africans, four Australians and one Japanese referee.

Additional appointments in Super Rugby matches ought to propel Anselmi up the ladder. He has refereed test rugby in the past and has been praised for having done an excellent job. The Argentine, nonetheless, has been limited to Tier 2 matches. In 2017 perhaps he will have the opportunity to referee Tier 1 matches in June, November or the Rugby Championship.
