Moroni Out for Three Weeks

Matías Moroni is out for three weeks. The first-choice Jaguares outside center suffered an injury to his right elbow in yesterday’s match against Uruguay. The same fixture saw leading scrum half, Martín Landajo ruled out for three months with a broken leg.

Moroni had a solid match against Uruguay. Playing one half at outside center and the other on the wing he ran in two tries.

The CUBA club product is expected to be fit for the Super Rugby opening round. Los Jaguares will travel to South Africa to face the Kings on February 25 in Port Elizabeth. Moroni will be absent from this Friday’s warm-up against the Argentina XV in Buenos Aires.
