Los Pumas 7’s Make Changes for Wellington and Sydney 7’s

Changes have been made to Los Pumas 7’s for the Wellington and Sydney 7’s. With Los Jaguares and the Argentina XV both in camp the team have been modified for the two Oceania legs of the HSBC World Sevens Series.

The Wellington 7’s will kick-off on January 28. Los Jaguares will play warm-up matches ahead of the Super Rugby season on January 23 and 27. The second of these fixtures is to be against the Argentina XV.

The clash of dates sees Santiago Álvarez, Bautista Delguy, Fernando Luna, Domingo Miotti and Segundo Tuculet missing from the 7’s roster. All five played in the most recent leg of the World Series, in Cape Town last month. They are all in Felipe Contepomi’s squad for the Americas Rugby Championship.

Santiago Gómez Cora’s 13-man squad depart Buenos Aires today. They will return on February 06, two days after the Argentina XV play their opening round match against Canada in Langford, BC on February 04.

In Wellington Los Pumas 7’s will compete in pool play against England, Kenya and Papua New Guinea. The Sydney 7’s will be played the following weekend on February 04-05.
