2017 ARC Fixtures and Broadcast Details Announced

With the opening round of the 2017 Americas Rugby Championship just a little over two weeks away, broadcast details for all competing nations have been announced in an official release on the competition’s Facebook page. All matches will be broadcast live on various networks with both cable television and streaming internet available to accommodate viewers in all regions. The tournament has also confirmed that the agreements are in place through to 2020, a major vote of confidence for the revamped competition that was a major success in its inaugural year in 2016.

World Rugby Vice-Chairman Agustín Pichot expressed his great pleasure of the announcement.

“This tournament has caught the imagination of fans and broadcasters after only the inaugural season. The importance it has for the six unions involved is also clear for all to see. The tournament is a key plank in World Rugby’s strategy for the growth of the game in the Americas and we are delighted that fans will be able to watch these matches across the whole continent.”

In South America the matches will be available on ESPN Sur with the exception of Brazil, where their own ESPN Brazil will broadcast all home games. The Rugby Channel will broadcast all US Eagles matches live with all other games on tape delay. Conversely ESPN will broadcast the Eagles matches on delay while showing all other matches live. TSN is again the broadcast partner in Canada, providing covering on TSN GO with the exception of Canada’s match against Chile on February 11, which will be produced and streamed by Rugby Canada.

Dates and times for all but three matches have also been confirmed, as seen below:

[EDIT: The official press release incorrectly stated that Chile’s match against the USA on February 25 was at Estadio CAP, when in fact it is the February 18 match against the Argentina XV that will be played in Talcahuano. Those changes are now reflected below.]
