Bustos Moyano Returns to Fitness

Martín Bustos Moyano is back to fitness. The former Puma is has returned to training for Bayonne and will free to play in Bayonne’s next home Top 14 fixture.

Bayonne will play away to Gloucester on Saturday. The fixture is to be a final round match of the European Challenge Cup. Bayonne, though, will not be taking much interest in competing against the Aviva Premiership side.

Bustos Moyano is to be one of a number of players not involved in facing Gloucester. Instead he will likely make his return against Brive on January 29. Having played 15 rounds of the Top 14 Bayonne are bottom of the table and facing relegation.

Last season the heroics of Bustos Moyano saw Bayonne winning the Pro D2 Final to win promotion to the Top 14. Repeats of his masterpiece performance are now desirable for Bayonne. With 16 points the club is 12 behind the 12th placed Lyon.

Aged 31, Bustos Moyano has been capped four times by Argentina. The Córdoba fullback made his debut against Chile in 2008 and made his most recent Pumas appearance against Georgia in 2013. On that occasion he scored 24 points against the Lelos in San Juan.
