Pools for Viña del Mar 7’s

The pools have been released for the Viña del Mar 7’s. This weekend’s international competition in Chile will be the second of two legs of the South American Sevens circuit.

Los Pumas 7’s won in Punta del Este this past weekend. In having done so Argentina will lead Pool A in Viña del Mar. Their thrilling victory in the final over Fiji means that the Pacific Islanders will play a the number 1 seed in Pool B.

Further rankings from Punta del Este have been used for seeding the Viña del Mar 7’s. This sees the USA Falcons, Uruguay and Brazil joining Argentina in Pool A. Chile, Colombia and the Canada Maple Leafs will join Fiji in Pool B.

For Brazil, Chile Colombia and Uruguay the Viña del Mar 7’s carry extra importance. On the line is a place in the 2017 Las Vegas 7’s, Vancouver 7’s and the Hong Kong Sevens.
