Video: Lamositele Try Saves Saracens from Defeat

A try from Titi Lamositele saved Saracens from defeat yesterday. The 21-year-old prop from Tacoma, Washington scored Saracens’ only try in their 13-13 draw against the Exeter Chiefs. The 73rd minute try saw the London-based club avoiding a loss after Exeter had played the better rugby for the majority of the match.

Lamoistele’s score game from sustained pressure. Saracens’ numerous penalties deep in opposition territory saw them kicking for the corner. The pack then went about performing set-move driving-mauls. Eventually the pressure turned into a try with the USA prop being the benefactor.

Lamositele played off the bench. He was an early entrant after starting Loose Head prop Richard Barrington was red carded for a dangerous tackle on Geoff Parling. This saw a USA-Argentina prop combination with Lamoistele joining Juan Figallo for Saracens.

Also playing were both Marcelo Bosch and Chris Wyles. Bosch was playing on his 33rd birthday but was forced off early after tackling with his head on the wrong side of an opponent and taking a bump. Wyles had a strong match. His first half try saving tackle on Don Armand ultimately enabled Saracens to come back and snatch the draw.
