Argentine Second-rower on his way to Carcassonne

An Argentine second-rower is on his way to Carcassonne. The PRO d2 club has acquired the signature of Demián Panizzo. The 27-year-old from Buenos Aires club Belgrano Athletic joins Carcassonne from Colomiers.

Panico has made 45 Pro D2 appearances for Colombiers. He joined the club in 2014 and signed a contract extension in mid 2016. His new contract with Carcassonne is for two years and has a one-year optional extension.

Something of a late bloomer, Panizzo was a regular starter for Belgrano in the URBA top division but never progressed to challenging for Pumas honours. He has since dropped from 125kg (275lbs) to 116kg (255lbs) and is playing very well in France.
