Colombia’s Roster for the upcoming Punta del Este 7’s has been named. Los Tucanes No 8 and captain Sebastian Mejia is one of the 12 players included.
The Punta del Este 7’s will be played on January 6-7 in the Uruguayan beach resort town. It is to be the first of two circuits of the 2017 South American Sevens. The second will be in Viña del Mar, Chile from January 13-15.
Colombia will compete in both events. The 12 players selected for the Punta del Este 7’s are the same who will compete in Viña del Mar. Also competing in both tournaments will be Argentina, Brazil Canada, Chile, Uruguay, USA and Olympic Gold Medalists, Fiji.
Los Tucanes earned the right to compete in the tournaments by winning the 2017 South American B Sevens.
