General Manager Greg Peters Steps down from UAR

General Manager Greg Peters has stepped down from the UAR. Argentina’s national governing body confirmed that the New Zealander is returning home with immediate effect.

Peters will remain connected to the UAR’s dealings with SANZAAR and the Américas Rugby Championship and will manage some individual international commercial subject matters.

It has been an honor and I have enjoyed being a part of the first ever Personal Super Rugby in Argentine rugby.”

“It has been a great first year for Argentine professional rugby and I believe that there will be a great future as the number of players and the talent of them coming through the clubs is increasing. Besides this growth the improvement can be seen in a variety of aspects of play. Argentina constantly has more players and coaches who are at the level of any power in global rugby.”

UAR President Carlos Araujo commented that “we regret the departure of Greg, it has been an intense year and one of great learning for everyone and he has helped us with his experience in this significant step in Argentine rugby of creating a franchise  and competing in the most demanding competition in world rugby.”

We thank him for everything he has done and for the knowledge he has passed on to our structure. We will remain in contact and we will continue to be advised in a range of specific issues.”
