Brazil To Face Belgium, Portugal and the Cook Islands in June 2017

Brazil is to face Belgium, Portugal and the Cook Islands in June 2017. The South Americans arrival as part of the global June Internationals is now complete. Americas Rugby News can confirm Brazil will host one test match against each opponent.

The three visiting countries are all expected to play additional test matches in the Americas. Of the three the Cook Islands is confirmed as playing a test match in Mexico.

The Cook Islands has never before played a test  match against either Brazil or Mexico. Os Tupi’s fixture against Belgium is to also be a first. Brazil has previously faced Portugal on two occasions.

The home series follows Brazil’s involvement in the 2016 November Internationals. Brazil played two tests away to Germany and one against Portugal.

Americas Rugby News has also learned that Brazil will again tour Europe in 2017. A three match series will take place in November against yet to be confirmed opposition. Match dates for the three matches are set to be November 11, 18 and 25.

The three home tests in June and three away matches in November provide Brazil with a complete international calendar. Brazil will also play five matches in the Americas Rugby Championship and three in the South American A Championship.
