Round 11 of the Guinness Pro 12 will get underway on Friday. It is to be a unique round due to match days taking place on Friday, Monday and Tuesday. No matches will be played on Christmas Day or Christmas Eve.
In one of the two Friday fixtures Ulster will play host to Connacht. The USA eligible Callum Black is to play on the bench for the home side.
The battle for Italian supremacy will also be played on Friday. Benetton Treviso will have home advantage against Zebre. Featuring for the visitors will be the 18-time-capped Bruno Postiglioni. The former Puma will play from the bench.
Three matches will be played on Monday. One of these will be the Welsh derby between the Cardiff Blues and the Newport Gwent Dragons. Eagles Blaine Scully and Cam Dolan may be involved.
On Tuesday Swansea will be the setting for another Welsh fixture.The Ospreys will host western neighbors the Scarlets. DTH van der Merwe is expected to play for the visitors.
