Video: Poet Scores 21 as Charente Down Colomiers

Sebastian Poet scored 21 points for Charente who downed Colomiers on Sunday. The 24-year-old fly half from Rosario delivered the best professional performance of his career. His four penalties, two conversions and try accounted for 21 of Charente’s 26 points.

The Argentine pivot was also strong in general play. He delivered a cross-kick for his club’s other try. It was gathered and scored by Ikapote Fono in the 15th minute. Poet’s own try saw him slicing through three defenders to give Charente the lead with eight minutes remaining.

Poet’s display against Colomiers saw the three-time capped Puma named by Midi Olympique in the Pro D2 XV of the week. Also appearing was Taylor Paris. The future Castres flier Canadian played wing for Agen.

The 26-25 victory moves Charente into the play-off’s picture. After 15 rounds Charente has 40 competition points. Leaders Oyonnax have 45.
