Taku Ngwenya scored a double for Brive on Friday. The USA Eagles flier’s tries helped Brive to an impressive home victory over Russian side Enisei-STM in the Challenge Cup.
The French club outscored the Russians by six tries to two. Ngwenya’s tries both came in the second half. They were scored after Brive had already put itself in a strong position, leading 21-0 at half time.
Brive, though, was not altogether comfortable. Enisei-STM opened their account in the second half with Shamil Magomendov scoring. at the other end Ngwenya scored two tries in nine minutes to confirm Brive’s victory. French test second-rower Julien Le Devedec scored later on before Magomendov added another.
The second of Ngwenya’s tries brought back memories of his try against Samoa in Rugby World Cup 2007. It can be seen by clicking here.
