Connor Braid had a fine performance for the Worcester Warriors on Friday. The Canadian scored in the away match against the Newport Gwent Dragons in the Challenge Cup.
Braid’s score was the one and only try from the Aviva Premiership side. It came early on with the Canadian punishing a Dragons handling error. The Welsh failed to control their own ball from a lineout which saw Braid spotting a loose pass and kicking it though. He won the race to regather the ball to score.
The try was also converted by the fly half. With it Worcester held an early 7-0 lead. It was not to be Worcester’s evening though as Sam Betty was red carded in the 15th minute. The incident all but ended the Warriors’ chances. Tavis Knoyle, Tyler Morgan and Sam Hobbs scored for the Welsh region.
