Uruguay Crowned Beach Rugby Champs in Rio de Janeiro

Uruguay has been crowned Beach Rugby Champions in Rio de Janeiro. Los Teros won all of their matches at the Super Desafio BRA (Brazilian Super Challenge) Beach Rugby. The tournament was played on Leme Beach, the eastern section of the world famous Copacabana Beach.

Uruguay started well with a comprehensive victory. Los Teros scored 11 tries to 2 against Brazil. Their second match, against Chile, was far tighter. Uruguay won 5-3. It was followed by another match against os Tupis. This time Uruguay won 5 -2. The title was secured in the second match against Chile. Uruguay won 7-5.
