Uruguay’s Full Venue List for 2017 Americas Rugby Championship

Uruguay’s full venue list for the 2017 Americas Rugby Championship has been unveiled. Los Teros are to play their first and second round matches away before having home advantage in rounds three, four and five.

Like in 2016 Los Teros will open their campaign in North America. This time though the match will be against the USA. Having beaten the Eagles in Montevideo in the 2016 fixture the 2017 one has added interest.

[EDIT: USA Rugby has in fact not finalized the location of the February 4 match in Texas, venue still tba.]

Los Teros will return to South America from Texas. Their second match will be against tournament favorites, the Argentina XV. Set to be played on February 11 the match will be played at the Estadio Villa Mitre in Bahía Blanca.

For rounds three and four Los Teros will play in Punta del Este. They will return to the Campus Municipal de Maldonado. The venue hosted Uruguay’s match vs the Argentina XV earlier this year. Los Teros will face Brazil and Canada at the venue on February 18 and 25.

The official home of Uruguay rugby will host the fifth and final fixture. Uruguay will take-on Chile at the Estadio Charrúa in Montevideo on march 04.
