Video: Charente Win Away to Bourgoin with all points being Argentine

Charente won away to Bourgoin with all points being Argentine. Impressive performances from Facundo Panceyra Garrido and Sebastián Poet propelled SA Charente XV to a 20-15 win on the road. Panceyra Garrido scored both of Charente’s tries. They were converted by Poet who also landed two penalties.

Both players joined the Pro D2 club this season. Poet did so from Tarbes for whom he played for last season. Panceyra Garrido made the move from Argentina. With places in Los Jaguares being extremely limited he is one of a number of players to have left for Europe.

Panceyra Garrido’s first try demonstrated just how good of a winger he is. The 99kg speedster from Córdoba saw his way past five Bourgoin defenders to dive over to the left of the posts. There was also flair in his second try. This time he got past three defenders.

The win sees Charente rising up to 6th position. With 32 competition points the club is just three outside of the top 5. Charente’s next assignment is a home match against the 8th placed Narbonne.
