Americas Players in Guinness Pro 12 – Round 10

With the November Internationals over for most it is back to domestic league action. The Guinness Pro 12 will have a full round played on Friday and Saturday.

Playing for the Glasgow Warriors on Friday will be two players from the USA. Tennessee’s Tommy Seymour and California’s Langilangi Haupeakui will both play. The former will start on one wing with the latter named as a replacement. Seymour had a solid campaign in November for Scotland while Haupeakui added to his cap total for the USA. Glasgow will host Munster on Friday.

The Ospreys are to all have a USA native in their team. The Swansea-based region will host Edinburgh in Friday’s other match Sam Underhill will feature as a replacement back-rower. Canadians Jeff Hassler and Tyler Ardron both remain sidelined through injury. Uncapped Argentine prop Felipe Arregui will play as an Edinburgh replacement.

Zebre will have home advantage against the Scarlets on Saturday. Starting at Loose Head prop will be former Puma Bruno Postiglioni. He is to be one of two Argentine players involved. The other is Guillermo Roan who will be a replacement front-rower. Stand-in Canadian captain DTH van der Merwe will play right wing for the Welsh region.

Playing at fullback for the Cardiff Blues will be Blaine Scully. The USA co-captain will start at the back against Ulster. Cam Dolan will play no part nor will the U.S. eligible Callum Black.
