2017 to be the Colombian-French Year

2017 is to be the Colombian-French year. The Federación Colombiana de Rugby (FER) have informed that National Sporting Director, Mauricio Henao ha had a number of productive meetings in Paris with the Federación Francesa de Rugby (FFR).

The theme to come out of the meetings is that 2017 is to be the Colombian-French year. A collective effort will see exchanges, competitions and training.

In these activities three clubs are to visit Colombia: Stade Français, Lyon and Givors. The possibility is being studied to have matches against French sides and a camp at the Universidad INSA in Lyon.

In addition Andrés Zafra, the Colombian contracted to Lyon in the Top 14, is involved in confirming the details for 2017. The second-rower will help oversee the drawing up of scheduled activities between the FCR and the FRR.
