Romania change three for Uruguay

Only one away from a clean sweep of the Americas in their November test series, Romania have made three changes to their team to face Uruguay on Saturday in Bucharest. Andrei Radoi rotates into the starting hooker role with Eugen Capatana switching to the bench, Valentin Poparlan replaces Marius Antonescu at lock, and Stephen Shennan gets an opportunity on the left wing with Ionut Dumitru on reserve duty this week despite a strong performance against Canada.

Further changes among the replacements see the introduction of three new players. Timisoara centre Paula Kinikinilau returns direct from injury to make his first appearance in a match day squad since the European Nations Cup. His clubmate Ionut Muresan is set to make his debut as a reserve lock, while Baia Mare scrumhalf Alexandru Tigla is also in line to make his test debut having trained with the side since the Nations Cup in June.

Romania have defeated Uruguay in each of their seven previous meetings. Their match at the Nations Cup ended with a dismal score of 40-0 in favor of the Oaks. Kickoff is set for 6pm local time, 1pm Montevideo time, with a live broadcast available on SporTV.
