Americas Players in Guinness Pro 12 – Round 9

It’s a slow week for Americas players in the Guinness Pro 12 with the entire Canadian contingent injured or on international duty, save for Luke McGrath who of course is only a token representative having won his first cap for Ireland against the country of his birth earlier this month. Similar loose American affiliations Callum Black and Sam Underhill will play for Ulster and Ospreys respectively.

Eagles fans will have two legitimate players to cheer for as they return to club rugby following the conclusion of the international season. Blaine Scully starts on the right wing for Cardiff Blues against Connacht at the Sportsground, though there is no place for Cam Dolan in the side. Meanwhile Langi Haupeakui should make an impression from the bench for Glasgow Warriors who host Ospreys at Scotstoun in a pivotal match with both locked on 26 points and just five short of league leaders Leinster.

Argentina has two former internationals playing for Zebre against Ulster on Friday. Loosehead prop Bruno Postiglioni is handed just his second start of the season while Guillermo Roan acts as reserve tighthead. Current Pumas prop Felipe Arregui might also see time for Edinburgh on Sunday when they travel to Newport to face the Dragons.
