Several new names have been brought into camp to help the Eagles 7s preparations for the start of the 2016-17 HSBC Sevens Series, which kicks off in Dubai on December 2. Among those who were not part of the group named in September are San Francisco Rush utility back Junior Helu and Sacramento Express winger Cody Jerabek. USA Falcons regular Joey Sok and Junior All-American graduate Connor Wallace-Sims are also notable inclusions.
A handful of development players have been added to experience the high performance training environment. High School All-American winger Ryan James, Peninsula Green playmaker Naima Fuala’au, and collegiate representatives Alex Faison-Donahoe, Cameron Marek, and Zach Webber will attend the week-long session. Also included is hard-hitting Euless Texans standout PJ Eteaki.
Assistant coach Chris Brown leads the camp with head coach Mike Friday missing along with five members of the US Eagles touring squad currently returning from Europe. Will Holder, Martin Iosefo, Matai Leuta, Stephen Tomasin, and captain Madison Hughes remain in consideration for Dubai.
