Americas Players in Top 14 – Week 12

It’s a relatively quiet week for Americas players in the Top 14 with the November internationals in full flight. No more than four have been included in starting rosters with only three more named among the reserves for their respective clubs.

Toulon travel to Castres with Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe running out on the side of the scrum. Castres club captain Rodrigo Capó Ortega has been named as a second row substitute. At Clermont, the visiting Lyon team have Francisco Gómez Kodela among their extras to cover tighthead prop.

Manuel Carizza and Juan Imhoff both continue their roles in the Racing 92 starting side as they welcome Grenoble to Stade Yves-du-Manoir. Flying winger Takudzwa Ngwenya has been a curious absentee from the US Eagles over the past couple weeks, with his selection among the reserves once again calling into question the validity of Regulation 9 for Tier 2 sides.

Sunday’s games see Toulouse traveling to Bayonne. Chilean lock Pablo Huete has been named in the home side’s match day squad, with a lineup to be confirmed on Saturday.
