Brazil Crowned Valentín Martínez Winners

Brazil have been crowned the Valentín Martínez winners. The Women’s Rugby 7’s side completed an unbeaten campaign in Uruguay to successfully defend their title.

On the opening day on Friday Brazil defeated Entre Rios, Chile and Argentina ‘2’. The three wins came with Brazil conceding just one try. These results set up a Semi Final against Peru on Saturday. The Brazilians eased past their opposition to set up a final against Argentina ‘1’. The hard-fought victory in the final saw the Brazilians seriously challenged for the one and only time in the tournament.
