Venue Order Reversed for June 2017 Argentina vs England Series

Following a request from the Unión Sanjuanina de Rugby the UAR has made changes. Argentina’s two-match home series against England in June 2017 will now see the first test in San Juan and the second in Santa Fé. This is a reversal of what was initially scheduled.

England’s tour may be expanded to also include a test in Uruguay. Montevideo is seeking to secure a home match against not only England but also Georgia. The Lelos are to play a match in Argentina on June 24. No venue has yet been determined.

England’s matches in Argentina will be ground-breaking. Never before has England played in either San Juan or Santa Fé. Both have been used by the UAR in recent history. In 2015 the Argentina XV hosted Chile in San Juan (venue picture above) while Los Pumas faced Italy in Santa Fé.
