A Juan Imhoff intercept try sealed Racing 92 and away victory against Bayonne on Saturday evening. The Argentine flier scored the only try of what was a dull affair.
The Puma crossed in the 70th minute. He was on hand to latch on to a loose pass from his opposite, Ryan Tongia. He then ran from inside his own half to score under the posts untouched.
His try completed a 16-3 win and continues Imhoff’s outstanding season. He has played in seven Top 14 matches for a return of 8 tries. This makes him the leading try scorer in the Top 14 this season.
For Racing 92 the result lifts the club to 7th in the Top 14. Bayonne remain rooted to bottom spot. Overcoming relegation is now Bayonne’s only objective. While it is still early in the season the club has only one victory from nine matches thus far.
