Pumas 7’s Olympian Axel Müller scored for Toulon against Grenoble on Saturday. He crossed for a second half try.
The try came from a simple move. Having secured a scrum Toulon Duane Vermeulen linked with Sébastien Tillous-Borde who passed to the Argentine to dive over.
Toulon won the match 42-12. The result saw Toulon picking up maximum competition points. With it the club moved up the standings. The only club now above Toulon is Clermont.
Aged 22 Müller joined Toulon this season. The move was his first professional contract abroad. Having gone through PladAR he was a Pumas 7’s regular and a fringe player for Los Pumas.
In his four Top 14 matches so far the Mendoza winger has scored two tries. The only players to have scored more for the club are Charles Ollivon and Mamuka Gorgodze. As such Müller’s two tries are the most of all backs at the club thus far this season.
