The final round of the Aviva Premiership before the November Internationals is set to get underway. For many it is to be a final opportunity for match time before trading club for country. The Americas will have players involved though, for the first time no English-based players will play for Los Pumas next month.
Two underperforming sides will open week 7. The Northampton Saints will have home advantage against Gloucester. Starting in the second-row for the cherry and whites will be Mariano Galarza. The veteran of two Rugby World Cups has been in impressive form this season.
On Saturday the Harlequins welcome the Worcester Warriors to the Twickenham Stoop. Playing on the wing for the home side will be Caribbean flier Marland Yarde. The St. Lucia native has been named in Eddie Jones’ squad for November.
In another part of Greater London the form side Saracens will host the hot-and-cold Leicester Tigers. Pumas Juan Figallo and Marcos Ayerza will battle it out. Figallo will play tight head prop from Saracens while Ayerza will play loosehead for the Tigers. Also starting is Chris Wyles. The former USA captain will play left wing for Saracens.
Still looking for their first win are Bristol. The West Country side has struggled since returning from the second division and now has a tough assigned against Sale. Saturday’s match will involve former Puma Gastón Córtes. He has been named as a replacement prop for the home side.
Early season form indicates a Saracens vs Wasps final. On Sunday the Wasps will be at home against Newcastle. The visitors are enjoying a sound start to the campaign and are, presently, very safe from relegation. Starting for the Falcons on Sunday will be Canadian Evan Olmstead and Argentine Juan Pablo Socino.
