Video: Last-gasp Penalty sees Hindú into URBA Top 14 Final

A last-gasp penalty saw Hindú into the URBA Top 14 Final. Joaquín Díaz Bonilla’s long-range penalty secured a 25-24 win over Newman in the first of two Semi Finals.

The 27-year-old former Pumita and Argentina XV player kicked four goals for Hindú. He was joined by a host of players to have past or present experience with Argentine representative teams. They included Lautaro Bavaro, Francisco Bosch and Bautista Ezcurra. Both Díaz Bonilla and Ezcurra were notable omissions from Argentina XV roster for the Americas Pacific Challenge.

In winning the Semi Final Hindú advance to the final. Their opponent will be either Belgrano Athletic or San Luis. It will be played on Saturday October 15.

For Hindú the final will mark a fifth consecutive appearance. The Don Torquato club has played every final since 2012. Moreover since 2006 the club has played in all but two finals – 2010 and 2011. During this period Hindú has won seven titles.
