Argentina XV Name Side for Canada ‘A’

Argentina XV have named their lineup to face Canada ‘A’ on Saturday. The official ‘A’ sides of the two countries will meet in the opening round of the Americas Pacific Challenge in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Third choice Pumas scrum-half Felipe Ezcurra has been named captain. He is to be joined by a number of others with Super Rugby experience.

Back-rowers Rodrigo Báez and Tomás Lezana are both on the return from injury. They will be joined by Benjamin Macome who has returned to Argentina from Bayonne. Second-rowers Ignacio Larrague and Juan Cruz Guillemaín are both also back from injury.

Los Pumas 7’s players are the additional notable feature. Following success int he abbreviated form of the game Santiago Álvarez, Fernando Luna and Segundo Tuculet have the opportunity to step up. They are joined by the extremely promising Bautista Delguy at fullback.

Juan Cruz González has been selected ahead of the younger Domingo Miotti at fly half. Other recent graduates from Los Pumitas including Gaspar Baldunciel, Julián Dominguez, Santiago Medrano and Santiago Montagner will join Miotti on the bench.
