Argentina vs New Zealand is a Sell Out

All tickets to Saturday’s international match in Buenos Aires have been sold. The round five Rugby Championship match between Argentina and New Zealand is officially a sell out.

The fixture is to be Argentina’s fourth home Rugby Championship match against New Zealand. The prior three matches took place in 2012, 2013 and 2014 respectively. On all occasions the matches were played at the Estadio Unico in La Plata.

This weekend’s fixture sees a change as Argentina will play in the national capital for the first time in Rugby Championship history. Prior matches against South Africa have been played in Mendoza and Salta while games against Australia have taken place in Rosario and Mendoza.

With 2015 being the year of the Rugby World Cup there Rugby Championship was played under a reduced format. This saw Argentina playing New Zealand away but not at home. As such this weekend’s match is to be just the second time that the Hourcade-Creevy partnership have played at home against the All Blacks.

A full house of 50,000 supporters will cheer on Los Pumas. They will do so in the same venue in which Los Jaguares played their home Super Rugby matches this year.
