Samoa ‘A’ Name Roster for Americas Pacific Challenge

Samoa ‘A’ have named a 32-man roster for the upcoming Americas Pacific Challenge. Set to be played in Montevideo, Uruguay the World Rugby tournament will bring together the ‘A’ teams from  Argentina, Canada, Fiji, Samoa, Uruguay and the USA.

The 32 players named for Sama ‘A’ will begin training this coming Saturday, October 01. The final roster will be reduced to 26 players.

All six competitors in the Americas Pacific Challenge are the ‘A’ sides of countries who competed at the Rugby World Cup twelve months ago. The new tournament in Montevideo will give wider rsoter members valuable match time ahead of the November Internationals. The Estadio Charrúa will host the tournament from October 08 .

The Samoa ‘A’ players are to train at Samoa’s High Performance Unit in Tuanaimato this week before departing for South America next week. Included in the roster are the best home based Samoan players as well as nine players from New Zealand.

A total of six of the Samoa ‘A’ players have been capped by the senior side at test level.
