Rodrigo Capó Ortega and Benjamín Urdapilleta were in sublime form for Castres yesterday. Both players crossed for tries as their club defeated the 2016 Top 14 champions, Racing 92.
Captaining the side the Uruguayan second-rower went over for a first half try. The 27th minute try was Castres’ first and leveled the scores. The former Puma, Urdapilleta went over late in the second half to secure the win. He also had a strong day from the tee, scoring a personal total of 21 points.
Castres 31-23 home win sees the Tarn side shooting up into 4th position. For Racing 92 the loss means the club is now in 7th position.
