Video: Socino Scores First Try of 2016-2017 Season

Former Puma Juan Pablo Socino had a fine match this past weekend. The Argentine center scored for the Newcastle Falcons who hosted heavyweights Leicester on Sunday.

After just five minutes Socino combined with Sonatane Takuluato dive over under the posts. The strong start was followed by additional points to give Newcastle a ten point lead.

The Falcons played a good match and were on course for victory. Leicester Tigers’ class eventually saw them come back. The final score of 14-13 sees the Tigers sitting in the top four. For Newcastle the loss awarded them a bonus point and with it 9th place in the Premiership.

The 28-year-old Socino earned his international debut for Argentina in the 2015 Rugby Championship. He started against Australia and would also play again in the Rugby World Cup. His one appearance was against Namibia, ironically in Leicester.
