Americas Players in Guinness Pro 12 – Week 3

There are to be a variety of Americas players in the Guinness Pro 12 this coming weekend. Week 3 of the Celtic-Italian League will have a Friday-Saturday split with three matches played on each day.

Kicking off the week will be a match between the largest city sides of Wales and Scotland. On the bench for the Cardiff Blues will be USA flyer Blaine Scully. A player lost to the USA, Tommy Seymour, will start on the wing for Glasgow. Also involved will be USA second row Greg Peterson as a replacement.

US-eligible Callum Black will start at loosehead prop for Ulster who host the Scarlets. Canadian winger DTH van der Merwe remains unavailable for the Scarlets though illness.

Saturday’s action will see in-form Canadian duo Tyler Ardron and Jeff Hassler again in the run-on side for Ospreys against Benetton Treviso. Meanwhile at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi, home team Zebre will field two Argentine reserve props in Bruno Postiglioni and Guillermo Roan, while Canadian-eligible Shane O’Leary is a reserve back for visiting Connacht.
