Waldouck joins Newcastle full-time

Newcastle Falcons have confirmed a full-time contract for Dominic Waldouck. The former England ‘A’ midfielder signed a trial deal with the Aviva Premiership club in July following some standout displays with the Ohio Aviators in PRO Rugby. Strong showings in pre-season action and as a reserve in Falcons opening fixtures has earned the 28-year-old a spot until at least the end of the season.

Waldouck is likely to see plenty of time in the coming weeks after joining Juan Pablo Socino in the Newcastle midfield early against Bath following the leg injury suffered by Chris Harris. A number of Americas players are at Falcons, including Argentine hooker Santiago Socino and outside back Belisario Agulla, Canadian forward Evan Olmstead, and a trio of Americans in prop Paddy Ryan, second row Nick Civetta, and San Francisco Rush back row David Tameilau.
