Colombia, Mexico March on in South American u18 Championship

Colombia and Mexico continued their excellent form on Wednesday as both remain undefeated in the South American u18 Championship. Taking place on  South America’s only World Rugby certified artificial surface in Chiclayo, Peru the competition is to be spread over three rounds.

In round two on Wednesday Mexico took on the host nation while Colombia faced Venezuela. Las Serpientes proved to be far too strong for Peru, downing them 40-0. Colombia performed even better to defeat Venezuela 69-0.

Following on from the opening round results this makes Mexico and Colombia undefeated. Similarly both Peru and Venezuela are yet to win a match. With Mexico having hammered Venezuela 59-5 in round one and Colombia downing Venezuela 74-0 they are now to meet in the final round on Saturday. The winner will secure the title while Peru or Venezuela will finish third.
