Americas Players in Mitre 10 Cup & NRC

Chris Baumann heads up a number of Americas players set to take part in the second week of the Mitre 10 Cup and opening weekend of Australia’s National Rugby Championship. The Eagles prop starts for a second consecutive week for Wellington, who look to continue their good start to the competition against Otago on Thursday evening (3:30am ET) at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin.

PRO Rugby exports Jake Ilnicki and Bill Fukofuka will be in action at CET Arena in Palmerston North. Ilnicki has been named on the bench for Manawatu Turbos against Southland Stags, who start Fukofuka on the blindside flank. Tony Lamborn continues on the openside flank for Hawke’s Bay against Taranaki, and Canadian lock Josh Larsen should get a run at Eden Park after being named as a reserve in the Northland team to play Auckland.

In the NRC, James Hilterbrand will start on the bench for the Sydney Rays in their local derby against the West Sydney Rams, and Canadian-eligible prop Les Leulua’iali’i-Makin starts at tighthead for the UC Vikings against Queensland Country.
