Moroni Joins Pumas for Salta Test

Ahead of facing South Africa in Salta Daniel Hourcade has welcomed back Matías Moroni from Olympics duty. The Pumas center missed out on playing in the opening round of the Rugby Championship due to his involvement with Los Pumas 7’s.

On Tuesday Moroni will join Los Pumas who will begin their preparation for Saturday’s international against the Springboks. Training for the round two match will get underway at the colegio St. John de Pilar in Buenos Aires.

The rerun of Moroni takes the roster up from 26 to 27 players. Still missing is inside center Jerónimo de la Fuente who missed out on traveling to South Africa for the opening round fixture. Also ruled out were Gabriel Ascárate, Leonardo Senatore and Santiago García Botta. Senatore is completing his suspension while the three others remain sidelined.

Both Felipe Arregui and Marcos Kremer were in Nelspruit for Saturday’s test with the former on the bench. Both players remain uncapped. They are joined by Manuel Montero, Ramiro Moyano, Matías Orlando and Enrique Pieretto as others who did not play in Rugby World Cup 2015.
