Uruguay to Compete Again in the Campeonato Argentino

Uruguay’s official ‘A’ side, the Uruguay XV will participate in the Campeonato Argentino de Uniones for the second consecutive year.

Set to be played in October and November the competition will feature not only Uruguay but also Paraguay in what is the Argentine Provincial Championship.

In the 2015 edition of the competition the Uruguay XV completed four wins and one loss. It meant the Charrúa side narrowly missed out on earning promotion. The second place finish in Zone B determined where the national side will compete in 2016.

For this year’s competition the Uruguay XC will play face Argentine provincial sides Chubút, Lagos del Sur, Oeste, San Juan and Santiago del Estero . The opening round will be played on October 29.
