Chile host Fiji pre-Rio Training Camp

Before touching down in Rio de Janeiro Fiji will train in Santiago, Chile. The Fiji Times have confirmed the camp in which the Flying Fijians will polish their new set piece moves and defensive arrangements.

The Fijian men’s 7’s team enter the Olympic Games as serious contenders for the Gold Medal. In a bid to win the ultimate prize Head Coach Ben Ryan has had his players work on their fitness.

Ryan commented: “There’s a few things that we’ve brought into our attacking game, our set pieces and defensively. There’re different things we want to keep for different teams and have a bit of a surprise for them because we know we will be the most analysed team in the tournament.”

So, you need to have a bit of preparation and plans around that, which we have done all season and there are stuff we’ve done in training and we haven’t put out on the field.”
