Player Handed Life Ban

According to reports the Unión de Rugby de Tucumán is going to hand Victor Macías with a 99 year ban. The culprit bit off a part of Daniel Contreras’ finger in a Tucumán match between Aguará Guazú and Corsarios.

The incident took place on Sunday July 10. Contreras recalls that “we both fell on the floor and I felt fire in my hand. I looked and told the referee that he had cut my finger. I looked at the kid and said ‘what have you done, you are crazy’. He still had my finger in his mouth.”

Macías denies the action but Americas Rugby News has learned that the Union Rugby de Tucumán are not taking it lightly. They are to indeed ban him for life.
