Jaguares Change Two for Lions

Los Jaguares’ team has been named for the final match of their inaugural Super Rugby season. Argentina’s first professional team will host the best South African side this season with Martín Landajo named as captain.

Declared unfit for the match are Agustín Creevy and Pablo Matera. Coming in for Creevy at hooker is Julián Montoya. The 22 year old has been his understudy for the past twelve months. The loss of Matera sees Javier Ortega Desio returning from the second-row to play in his natural position.

The remaining thirteen players all started in last Saturday’s home defeat against the Highlanders. The South Americans were outclassed on that occasion with the lineout being a particular concern. But with Guido Petti fit again he and Tomás Lavanini ought to right the wrongs from the previous round.

18-year-old Marcos Kremer had been training to start in the back-row. He was doing so with Juan Manuel Leguizamón at the back of the scrum. Facundo Isa, though, has been declared fit and will start with Kremer named as a replacement.
