Full Match – Mexico vs Cayman Islands

The fairy tale came to an end on Saturday as the Cayman Islands fell to defeat to Mexico by a score of 34-24 in Dos Ríos. Playing at the extreme altitude of 8,600 feet above sea level, the Caymans produced a valiant effort that saw them claw back from a 27-7 halftime deficit to make things interesting at the end. The Rugby Americas North match also doubled as a World Cup qualifier, and Mexico now moves on to face Guyana on July 23.

Watch the match in its entirety below courtesy of Rugby Mexico, though it’s advised to set playback to 1.25 speed as the recording appears to have been slowed by 20% in the upload process.
