Alemanno Ruled out of Facing Bulls

Los Jaguares preparation for Saturday’s home match has taken a hit. Second-rower Matías Alemanno will play no part in the match, having been ruled out through injury. The Córdoba lock also missed both home internationals against France after having been injured playing against Italy in Santa Fé.

The Buenos Aires based Super Rugby franchise is to host the Bulls at Velez Sarsfield on Saturday. With Alemanno not involved and Juan Cruz Guillemaín out for the season Raúl Pérez has just Tomás Lavanini and Guido Petti as fit second-rowers.

Against France Daniel Hourcade looked to specialist flanker, Javier Ortega Desio and handed him a start in the opening test. For the second Los Pumas had no specialist second-row replacement. Pérez will now be forced to either utilize Ortega Desio as emergency cover or to hand Ignacio Larrague his professional debut. Aged 20, Larrague is uncapped and has no experience playing for Los Jaguares.
