Sebastián Poet Joins Soyaux Angoulême XV Charente

Argentine fly half Sebastián Poet will continue his professional career in France next season but will be doing so for the newly promoted Soyaux Angoulême XV Charente. His club from the 2015-2016 season, Tarbes will play next season in the Fédérale 1 after having been relegated.

Aged 23 Poet is a product of URBA Club Atlético del Rosario. He came through the PladAR system but was unable to go on to higher honors. As such the three-time capped pivot has signed a two-year deal for the Charante club. His move follows that of another young Argentine fly half with Bautista Guemes moving from Agen to Vannes.

This past season Poet scored 210 points in 26 matches for Tarbes. Poet’s three caps were against Brazil, Chile and Uruguay in the 2013 South American A Championship.
